The use and fault detection of High-voltage switchgear

Although the corresponding acceptance inspection work has been carried out before purchasing and using High-voltage switchgear, it is inevitable that equipment with congenital quality problems will be put into operation in reality. In addition, due to external forces and machine aging, Switch cabinet are also difficult to maintain a permanent safe use state.

As a remedial measure, users must strengthen the testing of Drawer type high voltage switchgear. As long as abnormalities are detected and identified in a timely manner, accidents can be avoided.

Many statistical data indicate that the proportion of mechanical failures occurring in switchgear is the highest. This is because there are many components associated with mechanical operation, including many links in series for closing and opening circuits.

And the operation of the switch is irregular, sometimes it is not operated once for a long time, but sometimes it needs to be continuously operated. In addition, it is also affected by environmental changes throughout the year. So mechanical failures, especially refusal to move failures, have the highest probability of occurrence.

To ensure the reliability of the operating mechanism of High-voltage switchgear, it is necessary to undergo testing and verification. For example, vacuum circuit breaker manufacturers often need to perform hundreds of mechanical operations under the high and low operating voltages specified by the standards before the products leave the factory. If there are any faults, they should be dealt with before leaving the factory.

Secondly, all components inside the switchgear, especially the moving parts including fastening screws, springs, and pull rods, must have sufficient strength, reliable structure, and withstand the test of long-term operation.
